Loren Deckard is serving as Minister of Preaching and Guidance for Joppatowne Christian Church.  Loren was the first minister for this congregation when it was founded in 1967 and continued as preaching minister until 1994 when he accepted a call to be Professor of Pastoral Ministries at Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas.  In 2004 Loren retired from teaching, and he and Mary Jane moved back to MD where they again took up membership with Joppatowne Christian Church while Loren worked part time for Polish Christian Ministries as Director of Development before returning to the pulpit once again at Joppatowne Christian Church.

Loren and Mary Jane have four children and ten grandchildren who live in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.  All four of their children attended all their years of public school in Joppatowne graduating from Joppatowne High School. 

Lynn Baseman is JCC's point woman here at Joppatowne Christian Church.  She is a wonderful servant of God who has brought much to JCC.  She lives in Edgewood with her husband and three children.  If you need to know where something is, what is going on or how it's done around here, then Lynn is the one to see.  You'll find her in her office between 9:00 and noon every weekday.  Can't come in to ask your question?  Just e-mail it in and she'll get back to you in a flash.
